Hiking paradise Gastein - Hohe Tauern world of mountains

Every hiker's heart beats faster in Gastein. The imposing mountain panorama of the Hohe Tauern, as well as countless Almen, crystal clear mountain lakes and a diverse fauna and flora guarantee that you will have an unforgettable summer holiday.

The Gastein valley is situated within the National Park Hohe Tauern - a conservation area right in the middle of the Austrian Alps. Escape from the heat of the city and enjoy the cool, clear mountain air! Exchange high rises for alpine huts and business meetings for genuine warm hospitality.

There are 55 Almen offering refreshments, one of which will surely become your favourite. After an eventful day a snack of home made cheese, butter, Speck (smoked pork) and bread tastes doubly delicious.

Even if you are not so good on your feet, you can still enjoy the Gastein mountainsides. The Gastein mountain lifts take you to high alpine territory within minutes, from where you can enjoy the beautiful views.
